IT Service Desk Specialist

Job Description

As an IT Service Desk Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our internal staff members and some of our customers. You will play a key role in maintaining the efficiency of our IT systems, resolving technical issues, and ensuring seamless operation across various departments.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables: 

  • Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot system operations (software), analyze other issues (e.g. hardware and network) and provide effective solutions.
  • Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
  • Work with the databases directly on as-needed basis (not as DBA)
  • Collaborate with other IT team members (Level 2. and Level 3.) to escalate complex issues and coordinate resolutions.
  • Document and update IT procedures, technical manuals, and knowledge base articles.
  • Assist in conducting regular system audits and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Building support environment with the Microsoft 365 options (e.g. forms, flow, powershell…).
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices via certified courses

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Proficiency in general operating systems use (e.g. Windows and Mac).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 environment, especially at the tenant level and/or tools level (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive..)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
  • English language
